GBOD Hospitality Group will “seas” the day to save the turtles by teaming up with sustainable straw manufacturer Numis Global, creator of The Blue Straw, to host “Turtle Crawl,” a bar crawl to benefit marine life conservation, beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

Crawlers will sip specially priced drinks, enjoy appetizers and have the chance to win prizes while checking out six Gaslamp Quarter venues. Turtle Crawl participants will begin at Taste and Thirst before taking the party to GBOD Hospitality Group’s venues: El Chingon, Havana 1920, Prohibition and Mezé Greek Fusion. After spending an hour drinking and dining at each stop, the Turtle Crawl will end at Petco Park, where participants will watch the Padres play the Nationals.

Tickets for Turtle Crawl start at $20 and include one complimentary drink, merchandise and one ticket to the Padres game. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to Wildcoast, a charity that establishes and manages protected areas, advocates for strong conservation policies, and works with communities to preserve healthy thriving oceans and wild coastlines.

More information and tickets to Turtle Crawl may be found online at here.

About GBOD Hospitality Group

GBOD Hospitality Group was founded in 2012 by brothers Raymond and Patrick Davoudi in San Diego with the opening of Mezé Greek Fusion in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter. Two new partners, Joe Santos and Aleko Achtipes, joined GBOD in 2014 with the aim to build a portfolio of dynamic hospitality brands. Building on the success of Mezé, GBOD took over operations of Prohibition, an underground speakeasy at 548 Fifth Ave. in February 2017; followed by the opening El Chingon Bad Ass Mexican in May 2017; and Havana 1920, located at 548 Fifth Ave. in October 2017. GBOD introduced Dough Nations to the Barrio Logan neighborhood of San Diego in Feb. 2019. With five concepts now under its umbrella, GBOD is now working to develop sister companies in related industries.
