Taste of North Park Is Back

Taste of North ParkHome to culinary innovation and craft cocktails, one-of-a-kind boutiques and fresh musical acts, there’s no arguing that North Park has increasingly become a go-to San Diego destination. With the fall season on the horizon, North Park is adding to the excitement with events that are putting the neighborhood permanently on the map in more ways than one.

Looking to sample all that North Park has to offer? The Taste of North Park is back and better than ever with 50 participating restaurants, 15 local breweries and 15 neighboring businesses joining in on all the fun! On Saturday, October 15 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., participants will be treated with a walking tour through North Park, enjoying the community’s finest bites and sips while exploring local galleries and boutiques. Participating restaurants and breweries include an exciting lineup of neighborhood veterans and newbies alike including West Coast Tavern, Urban Solace and Mike Hess Brewing (just to name a few!). Foodies and connoisseurs of the craft can get their tickets to this delicious event by visiting www.northparkmainstreet.com.

Supporting local while enjoying fresh food, music and faces… where do we sign up? Every Thursday this fall from 3 – 7 p.m. over 65 vendors are joining together to bring the farm to the city with the North Park Thursday Market. This weekly outdoor market is held at 3000 North Park Way and includes artisan grocery items from favorites such as Suzie’s Farm, GreenFix Organic, Bitchin’ Sauce and J R Organics. Not to mention, the family-friendly market features cooking demonstrations from some of North Park’s most popular chefs, vibrant music from local artists and hands-on nutritional activities for kids.

No afternoon out on the town is complete without a little bit of shopping. And there’s no better way to shop than by supporting small businesses. That’s why on November 26, North Park is hosting a Small Business Saturday. This family-friendly, weekend event celebrates the locally-owned “mom and pop” shops that offer eclectic shopping experiences as unique and diverse as the neighborhood itself. Shoppers will be rewarded with fun, treats, discounts and pop-up live music while checking out trend-setting boutiques such as Mimi & Red, Geographie Shop and Pigment.

Move over block party, North Park is offering a whole neighborhood full of delicious fun this fall!
