Now open at 926 Broadway Circle, Tapas & Beers is set to take guests’ taste buds on a trip to Spain. Small plates and craft beer mixes traditional cuisines of the Spanish Peninsula with some of America’s Finest City’s finest beers and classic eats. Owners Francois Patanchon and Gaelle Vincent were inspired by the culture and vibrancy of the country and wanted to bring that energy to Southern California.
Vincent designed the style of the restaurant, which boasts a clean and modern look. One of the most notable design elements includes the use of beautiful reclaimed wood and sleek, industrial design. “We are thrilled with how both the menu and restaurant design have come together,” said Vincent. “We have a truly eclectic menu, from tapas to artisan spreads, crostinis and amazing flatbreads. The menu is both delicious and unique.”
Patanchon created the handcrafted Tapas & Beers menu, mixing locally sourced ingredients to give guests a taste from abroad. From the Farm, the Sausage Plate includes Bratwurst, Spicy Pork, Sweet Italian, Andouille and other spicy specials, while From the Plancha offers Beef Beer Marinated Baby Back Ribs, Beef Sliders on Brazilian Cheese Bread and Baked Brie with Cranberry Preserve.
Options are limitless and there is something for everyone, with a variety of Crostinis – such as Cured Salmon, Avocado, Sundried Tomatoes and Grilled Eggplant, Goat Cheese, Olive Oil – and Flatbreads like – Sausages, Confit Tomatoes, Cheese and Brie, Pear, Arugula, Swiss Cheese.
Additionally, the menu showcases other items, such as burgers, sandwiches and paninis, salads and soups, along with dishes “From the Boat,” like a Seafood Paella with saffron rice, chicken and chorizo. Thursdays will highlight Patanchon’s paella with weekly specials and events.
No dish is complete without a little liquid sunshine. Tapas & Beers has carefully selected several types of local hops to complement the textures and spices in each tapas recipe. There will be 20 drafts on taps with 18 microbrewery varieties.
Seating includes a large communal dining space, alongside a gorgeous porcelain bar. Ample outdoor patio seating is also available for true al fresco dining under the stars.
Tapas & Beers is located at 926 Broadway Circle. They will be open Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with Happy Hour from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; and Sunday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend Brunch will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the traditional menu also available starting at 11:00 a.m
