Tahona Mezcaleria’s first anniversary celebrates a year full of 140+ types of mezcal and meals by Tahona’s Executive Chef Adrian Villareal, as well as unique experiences including mezcal meditations and Baja tours. As a token of gratitude and in celebration of this milestone, Tahona has crafted a special Chef’s Favorites Menuavailable Wednesday, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Nov. 17 for only $25. This pop-up menu is expected to focus on Oaxaca-inspired moles via a trio of tacos, including mole colaradito in a pork belly taco, mole negro with a chicken taco, and mole verde with an octopus taco. Mezcal pairings for each taco will be offered, and Tahona’s regular menu will also be available.
During Tahona’s anniversary week, foodies can also make reservations for two special dining events. On Thursday, November 14 join for a Chef’s Table Dinner with Origen Raiz Mezcal, during which Executive Chef Adrian Villareal will create a multi-course menu to accentuate the flavors of four different mezcal expressions, each explained by owner Bildo Saravia of Origen Raiz Mezcal. Then, on Sunday, November 17, brunch fans can close out the week with Tahona’s Mezcal Brunch Matinee, a Sunday Funday-style brunch experience taking place between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Tahona is located at 2414 San Diego Avenue in Old Town. Reservations are available at www.tahonabar.com, and those hoping to experience Tahona’s new speakeasy Oculto 477 during their visit can place speakeasy reservations at www.oculto477.com.
