The restaurant duo, Stella Public House and Halcyon has expanded with new outposts in San Diego’s “North City” destination in San Marcos. Just opened the first week of October, this is the first experience North County residents get to have of the popular dining concepts. Stella Public House sources from local farms to create a wood-fired pizza eatery and craft beer tap room experience. This couples beautifully with Halcyon’s modern coffeehouse and cocktail lounge open from morning to night.
San Diego is a city with a long, sometimes overwhelming list of entertaining things to do and places to dine. Luckily for us, local restaurants and bars are moonlighting as mini-concert venues so we can get the best of both worlds. Whether it’s a local band, acoustic solo artist or celebrated DJ, we’ve rounded up some awesome musical acts around the city so you won’t have to miss a beat (or bite!).
North Park’s West Coast Tavern is known for their craft cocktails that feed the appetite of the palate, but their music lineups definitely feed the appetite of the ears. Head to the trendy University Avenue hotspot on Wednesdays and check out a mix of rock and soul blues with Lady Dottie & the Diamonds, starting at 10 p.m. Or spend the weekend dancing to their assortment of live DJs, like Billy The Kid or Slowhand, every Thursday to Sunday night.
