Social Syndicate Announces Chef Craig Jimenez as Culinary Director

Chef Jimenez’s first project with Social Syndicate includes a menu redesign at The Rabbit Hole, a bar concept in Normal Heights, and Bootlegger, a restaurant and sportsbar in East Village. The revamped menus feature a variety of new items with twists on several classics.

As Culinary Director, Chef Jimenez will also be responsible for creating the concept and menu at Social Syndicate’s recently announced Del Mar Plaza project. Created in conjunction with Brixton Capital, this coastal venue is set to open in late 2019.

Social Syndicate together with Chef Jimenez will continue to enrich the group’s culture through regular trade seminars, purveyor site visits and food competitions. The involvement in major food events will keep the groups’ restaurants and talent on the cutting-edge, bringing value and growth to the surrounding neighborhoods.

“I’ve always had a passion for the San Diego restaurant scene and serving the community with delicious food,” said Chef Jimenez. “Joining the Social Syndicate team, dedicated to supporting local neighborhoods, allows me to pursue my passion and establish San Diego as a go-to destination for unique culinary experiences.”

A San Diego native raised in Paradise Hills, Chef Jimenez has nearly two decades of experience in the kitchen, creating menus that celebrate French, regional Italian and Asian cuisines. Prior to joining Social Syndicate, Chef Jimenez served as the Executive Chef Consultant at Little Italy’s Craft & Commerce and Henry’s Pub in the Gaslamp Quarter. Chef Jimenez also served as Chef De Cuisine at the Dana Hotel.
