SIMSIM STRIKES AGAIN
San Diego born fast-casual Middle Eastern restaurant Simsim Outstanding Shawarma opens its second location in Carmel Mountain Plaza on Monday, November 18th. Co-founded by CEO Nawar Miri, with a menu by Chef Ibrahim Alsharief, Simsim is rooted in traditional Middle Eastern cooking and features dishes crafted with simple and authentic techniques. The interior of the new 2,400-square-foot space will reflect the brand’s signature bright and modern design, featuring terrazzo and cork accents, lots of greenery and ample indoor and outdoor seating.
New and exclusive to Simsim’s Carmel Mountain Plaza location is an expanded menu featuring grill specialties from Chef Alsharief like Lamb Shish Kebob, Chicken Shish Tawook and Beef & Lamb Kebob, all charbroiled, skewered with vegetables and served with a side of rice and Fattoush salad. In addition to the grill items are Simsim’s now signature, from-scratch menu items including its namesake shawarma, plus bowls and sides like the super creamy house made hummus, moutabel and baba ghanoush.
