Richard Walker’s Pancake House, a San Diego institution originating from three generations of restaurateurs in the Walker lineage, announces the opening of a third San Diego County location in Carlsbad, California. Situated in the middle of the new Square at Bressi Ranch, the 1,700 square-foot eatery also includes a spacious and pet-friendly outdoor dining space. Local general contractor, CLTVT, partnered with Richard Walker Jr. to make the restaurant a reality. Together, the team delivered the space in 14 weeks from construction start to construction conclusion. The Carlsbad store marks the fifth location, overall, of the iconic breakfast establishment.
“We’ve longed sought an ideal North County San Diego location to plant our next round of roots and we are certain we’ve found it,” said Richard Walker Jr., whose Bressi Ranch location shares a shopping center with Sprouts and BevMo! “We feel so fortunate to be part of the Bressi Ranch community. We can’t wait to serve our new neighbors and many other guests from the region.”
The local breakfast empire, with an additional two locations in Illinois, is entirely family-owned, family-operated and family-funded by Richard Walker Sr. and Richard Walker Jr., both San Diego residents.
Richard Walker’s Pancake House serves award-winning, fresh and hearty breakfast and lunch items made from-scratch daily. Gourmet oven-baked pancakes, omelettes, crepes and waffles are on feature. Highlights include silky, sumptuous Fresh French Strawberry Crepes; the famous Baked Apple Pancake with fresh Granny Smith apples; the delicious strawberry waffle and piping hot souffle-style baked omelettes. Diminutive is not on the menu. On feature, too, is Richard Walker’s Prime Roasted Coffee, sourced from Central America exclusively for the Walker family. “We are privileged to join a family-centric community, where we have the honor of serving exceptional people exceptional breakfast,” said Walker Jr.
Richard Walker’s Pancake House will be joined by Mendocino Farms and Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, among others, at the Square at Bressi Ranch.
About Richard Walker’s Pancake House
Richard Walker’s Pancake House is a third-generation family restaurant with five locations: three in San Diego County and two in Illinois. In 1948, the family restaurant legacy began when Victor and Everett Walker started operating snack shops in the Chicago area. The Walker name has since become synonymous with quality family dining.
