Red Card Cafe Celebrates With Prix Fixe Dinners

Red Card Cafe in Bay Park will celebrate the success of its first year serving globally inspired street food and seasonal fare with a four-course, prix fixe dinner offered throughout two weekends in August. Available August 18 to 20 and August 25 to 27, guests can savor four of Red Card’s freshly-launched menu items by newly appointed Executive Chef Jeff Larson, who hails from Napa’s renowned dining scene and a duo of Michelin recommended restaurants.

Priced at $39 per guest, Red Card’s anniversary dinner menu will include:

First Course
Shrimp & Grits Croquettes with Gribiche

Second Course
Arugula & Stone Fruit with Marcona Almonds, Pickled Apricots and Feta Cheese

Third Course
Roasted Jidori Half Chicken with Root Vegetables, Peas and Green Peppercorn Gravy

Fourth Course
Double Cheddar Crust Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Guests may opt to pair dinner with Red Card’s selection of fine wines and fourteen craft beers on tap for an added charge. Prior to joining the restaurant in July 2017, Larson spent two years as Executive Chef of Goose & Gander in St. Helena, during which time he oversaw daily operations of the iconic Michelin recommended property. A native of San Francisco’s East Bay, since his move to San Diego Larson has been researching farmers markets and building relationships with local farms, saying “I think about ingredients before anything else.”
