Raised by Wolves Opens Monday, April 16th

Opening April 16th, RAISED BY WOLVES (Westfield UTC) will incorporate 1,500 square feet of retail space alongside a 2,000 square foot cocktail bar and tasting room designed by Paul Basile of BASILE Studio—CH’s longtime design partner whose work includes Born & Raised, Ironside Fish & Oyster, UnderBelly, and Craft & Commerce among others.

Raised By Wolves provides CH Projects with a unique opportunity to parlay their expertise into a concept that educates imbibers and sparks curiosity around the art of craft cocktails. The shop’s curated assortment of retail items will include a comprehensive collection of books and barware for the at-home enthusiast alongside a signature line of exclusive CH branded goods. Beverage Director Anthony Schmidt’s devotion for vintage spirits and liqueurs—rums, bourbons, and bitters that were bottled decades ago—will be prominently displayed along with a selection of private label barrels, boutique spirits and other rare finds that local aficionados may otherwise never have access to.

An entrance hidden within the shop will lead guests to Raised By Wolves’ private tasting room, where CH’s barkeeps will conduct educational classes and host seminars for the general public. On select evenings the tasting room will double as a reservation-only cocktail parlor, hosting pop-ups and guest bartender cameos with notables from all areas of the globe.

Raised by Wolves is located at 4545 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92122.

About CH Projects:
California’s southern-most city, San Diego, has for decades been known as a casual, sleepy coastal getaway with a culinary scene to match—fish tacos and Mexican lager epitomized an attitude not unlike that of an adolescent sibling to that of its mature, celebrity chef-embellished neighbor-to-the-north. Enter CH Projects, the visionary restaurateurs-come-social engineering duo that is pioneering the city’s now burgeoning cultural progression with ten ambitious concepts (Born & Raised, Ironside Fish & Oyster, Polite Provisions, Soda & Swine, Craft & Commerce, Neighborhood, UnderBelly, Noble Experiment, Dover Honing Co., El Dorado Cocktail Lounge). Co-founders Arsalun Tafazoli and Nathan Stanton have cultivated an intrinsic core philosophy—that a space should inspire, its design aesthetic and culinary /cocktail paradigm allowing for the seemingly lost art of conversation to thrive in an environment that fosters charisma, thoughtful dialogue, and the resurgence of real human interaction. In stark contrast to the overwhelming neon lights and volatile drone that emanates from plasma screens-as-art in less calculated restaurant and bar settings, CH Projects’ establishments eschew trendy, stagnant décor and menus in favor of an eclectic, contemporary quality borne out of the collaborative efforts of like-minded individuals with a hunger (and thirst) for innovation. www.ch-projects.com
