Powerhaus, founded by Anisha Blodgett, opened in January 2019 with the mission to support others in their wellness journey by making eating well simple and enjoyable. All of the recipes were created with the idea to offer something for everybody and to maximize the nutritional benefit by closely consulting with naturopathic doctor Emily Poccia of Wildcraft Medicine. This collaboration ensures the menu is high quality, healthy, and nourishing by integrating superfoods, heart-healthy fats and plant-based protein into the pizzas, smoothies, wraps, and salads.
The carefully sourced quality ingredients include locally-sourced California tomatoes, grass-fed dairy and naturally-raised meats that are uncured and antibiotic-free. Additionally, Powehaus offers vegan and gluten-free options including vegan cashew mozzarella and non-GMO vegan “chicken”, and four pizza crust selections each with their own unique benefit. The whole-grain crust is enhanced with plant-based protein (containing over 30g of protein in the crust alone) and omega-3 rich healthy fats, the garlic herb is made with organic additive-free flour, the gluten-free white crust has 13g of plant-based protein, and the cauliflower-based crust is low-carb and also gluten-free.

Mini-Biography: Anisha Blodgett
Originally from Edmonton, Canada, Anisha moved to London after college to pursue a Master’s in Construction Management before relocating to New York. In 2017, Anisha, her husband, and Apollo, their flat-coated retriever, moved across the country to San Diego when her husband made the commitment to enlist in the U.S. Navy. While her previous education and work experience in commercial real estate and finance was still very much an interest, Anisha felt a more powerful calling in her new environment to try something different.
An avid passion for fitness, nutrition, and overall wellness, Anisha was ultimately inspired to further develop her own personal recipes when trying to find a better balance between working out daily, eating “clean” all week, and then only to be left with the option of ordering pizza from places offering poor-quality or unhealthy ingredients to satisfy a pizza craving. From this, the idea of Powerhaus was born. It manifested into reality not too long after when she opened the doors in the heart of Pacific Beach in January of 2019.
