Cusp Dining & Drinks is the welcoming ocean view restaurant high atop Hotel La Jolla that continues to offer more than stunning views. New to the season is a fresh menu from Chef Ingrid Funes, which features gorgeously plated dishes full of flavor. Start with a bright salad of Strawberries and Oranges, served with arugula, Humboldt Fog Cheese and housemade peppercorn almond brittle. Her entrees shine, adding fresh, comforting dishes with a modern touch. Try one of her beautiful seafood creations, like Roasted Scottish Salmon with spring risotto, mushrooms, mint, fresh shaved vegetables salad and parmesan foam, or the Chef’s Choice Fish with glazed fava beans, English peas, zucchini, snow peas, herbs, crispy potatoes, truffle infused cream and golden dread mushrooms. The 6 oz. Duck Breast & Duck Raviolo is a stunner, served with sautéed cabbage, port cherries, ciopolini onion and port demi, while her Glazed Asian Short Ribs hits all the notes of a true comfort dish.
The dining room is not the only place to gather at Cusp. Head in to the bar for their new Monday Martini Night, Tuesday Oyster Night where bivalves are $2 a shuck from 4-7pm, and Wednesday Veuve Around the Clock where glasses of Veuve start at $4 at 4pm, and go up $1 every hour.
