It’s finally starting to feel like fall and with the change of seasons comes a couple of new sandwiches at Mendocino Farms. The artisanal sandwich and salad concept with local outposts in La Jolla and Del Mar has just added two new heartier sandwiches primed for the impending (slight) change of weather.
The Pachamama Spanish Bocadillo is a collaboration between three farms, two of which have longstanding ties to the Mendocino Farms brand. The sandwich is made with Pachamama Farm’s chorizo, Creminelli prosciutto, Drake Family Farm’s goat cheese and manchego spread, pickled tomato relish, Scarborough arugula and smoked paprika vinaigrette on a toasted sesame roll.
For fall, Mendocino Farms has also just added the El Cadillac en Fuego complete with Mary’s free range chicken, Yucatecan habanero sauce, spicy grilled pineapple escabeche, Oaxacan cheese and black bean crema on a panini pressed soft roll.
