Lazy Hippo, the “Best Breakfast in Gaslamp,” is your downtown destination for all things breakfast and brunch. The Chilaquiles, amazing selection of egg breakfast sandwiches, and traditional American breakfast egg plates, make it the place to be once your alarm clock rings.
Miss B’s Coconut Club in Pacific Beach serves up a lot more than just cocktails and tropical vibes: their weekend brunch menu includes hits like their Coconut Club Breakfast Burrito and Cubano Benedict with garlic buttered kolache toast, duroc ham, pulled pork, house spiced mustard, poached eggs, jerk hollandaise, served with house potatoes.
Carlsbad’s breakfast newcomer (arriving on February 4th), Toast Gastrobrunch, is the latest mecca for hot breakfasts. Their signature dish, Eggs in Purgatory, prepared with poached eggs in a spicy shashuska sauce, with mushrooms, bacon, feta, scallions, and mint in a sourdough bread bowl, is the perfect way to celebrate this month of epic brunch bashes.
