Brian’s 24 was chosen as a destination for the popular Travel Channel series, Man V Food. Host Casey Webb faced a challenge there a few months ago, and the episode is airing this week! Known for its 24-hour breakfast, huge selection and over-sized portions of home-style comfort food (think enormous sandwiches, bountiful salads and burgers, New York strip, hand-tossed pizzas and house-made meatloaf), Webb chose to chow down on a five-and-a-half-pound stack of pancakes layered with bacon, eggs, sausage, country-fried steak and thick-cut ham, known as the Pancake Monster. Did host Casey Webb win, or did this Monster of a challenge win?
“All of this national exposure has been a lot of fun for us, and promotes our downtown eatery as a top choice for a good meal with friendly, down home service,” says owner, Brian Epstein.
Tune into the show to see the action on screen. Episodes featuring Brian’s 24 will air on Travel Channel (PST time) on Jan. 6th at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 8th at 4:00 p.m., Jan. 22nd at 11:30 p.m. and Jan. 23rd at 2:30 a.m.
Since 2008, Man V Food’s ravenous ambition has been to travel to restaurants around the country, sampling iconic regional dishes and taking on some pretty daunting food challenges. New Jersey native Casey Webb stepped up to the plate as host two seasons ago. A restaurant-veteran-turned-celebrity of this part vaudeville, part foodie reality show, Man V Food has sunk its teeth into high ratings and is one of Travel Channels’ go-to series. Food encounters that would lock most people’s jaws include a fire and ice challenge with scorching hot popcorn measuring over 1 million Scoville units (the scale that measures a pepper’s heat), and a 64-ounce frozen hot chocolate Webb downed at a spot in Kentucky. In Nashville, the daring host went for a signature spicy delight called “hot chicken,” with tenders slathered in a hot sauce made with Carolina reapers, scorpion peppers and ghost peppers. One can only guess about the aftermath of that experience.
Watch Brian’s 24 take part in Man V Food’s bold list of dining destinations, as they start the new year off with a huge helping of celebrity exposure!
