Independently owned, and having been a part of the Gaslamp Quarter community for nearly 20 years, Greystone Prime Steakhouse & Seafood is one of the oldest steakhouses in downtown San Diego.
Diners can relax in a beautiful multi-level space with textured walls accented by paintings, beautiful colored lighting, a sweeping staircase, and a gorgeous chandelier for an unrivaled elegant ambiance. “For years, every plate that we offer has been served with love,” says General Manager Sara Arjmand. “Our building was a former movie theater in the Gaslamp district. We still have the original structure and facade at the top of the building on 5th Avenue, as well as the original ticket booth.”
The menu changes three times a year ensuring local ingredients and seasonal items such as Italian black truffles during the winter, and fresh mussels and clams during the summer. “We support local Encinitas growers with ingredients including butter lettuce and pears, and we also buy our strawberries from local Carlsbad farmers when in season, among other things,” explains Armand.
Unique offerings include a variety of specialty meats and exotic game, including Bison Tenderloin Filet, Pistachio-Crusted Antelope, Wild Boar Sausage, Porcini-Rubbed Elk Chop, or a classic 21 day aged bone in rib eye steak. Diners can also choose from an international selection of wagyu beef, including Australian, American and Japanese.
In addition, over 90% of the Greystone menu is gluten free, including vegan and vegetarian menus, and a large dairy-free selection to accommodate all diets.
