No socially-distanced Thanksgiving would be complete without a celebratory cocktail. Here’s a cranberry refresher from Trust Restaurant Group that will add a sweet-tart flair to your holiday.

Cocktail Ingredients

1.5 oz cognac or brandy
1 oz cranberry sauce
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz fresh orange juice

Shake 10-12 times. Top with sparkling wine, prosecco, or bubbly water. Pour into a wine glass with ice. Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig, cinnamon stick, and star anise pod and enjoy!

Cranberry Sauce Ingredients

96 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
5 3/4 cup white sugar
4 1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
3 cups orange juice
3 tbsp orange zest
6 tsp ground cinnamon
3 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cloves
2 tbsp fresh rosemary

Place all ingredients (except rosemary) into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until berries start to pop. Remove from heat and stir in fresh rosemary. Allow to cool until room temperature. Blend and strain. Bartender’s note: cranberry sauce yields one gallon which is enough to get any household through the entire holiday season.
