Hard Rock is serving up the competition one drink at a time. For the fifth year in a row, Hard Rock is showing off its impressive bartending skills by hosting its Global BARocker Competition. The highly-anticipated bar battle calls on Hard Rock bartenders from all over the world to show off their top-shelf mixology techniques through local and regional competitions for the chance to be named Hard Rock’s Global BARocker Champion.
On September 27, Hard Rock Cafe San Diego’s bartending staff will get into the competitive spirit by performing a series of tasks that will test their recipe and bar knowledge, accuracy, speed, flair and showmanship. To determine a winner, a panel of industry experts will evaluate the competitors and choose the bartender who will advance to the regional competition. Guests are encouraged to stop by and watch the bartenders battle it out while enjoying Happy Hour specials.
Local winners will receive a 3-D copper 2017 BARocker pin and move on to the regional rounds where six bartenders from around the world will advance to compete in the final showdown at Hard Rock’s Global BARocker Championship in Orlando, Florida, in January 2018. Regional winners will take home a 3-D silver BARocker pin and a complete BARocker prize pack, including logo merchandise and exclusive bar tools before their all-expense paid trip to the global finals. After the final competition, the Global BARocker Champion will win a 3-D gold cocktail glass champion 2018 pin with metallic background, trophy, BARocker apparel, and an all-expenses-paid trip for two to one of Hard Rock’s all-inclusive resort properties. Additionally, the Global BARocker Champion’s winning drink will be featured on Hard Rock’s exclusive beverage menu for a limited time.
