Finding Cookies

December 4th marks the annual celebration of National Cookie Day – a day dedicated to baked treats and cookie sheets! Make sure to get your cookie fix at any of these San Diego destinations.

With two locations, including Encinitas and Downtown, Union Kitchen & Tap offers double the opportunity to celebrate National Cookie Day with the BFC. Also known as the ‘Big Fat Cookie’, this dessert includes a warm macadamia nut and butterscotch cookie, melted brown butter and salted caramel gelato.

All spoons on deck! The Duck Dive in Pacific Beach is dishing up a cookie that is perfect for sharing or hogging all to yourself! The Chocolate Chip Pazookie features a warm and gooey cookie topped with a couple of scoops of ice cream for good measure.

Swing by downtown and head into barleymash, where desserts have their own separate menu and for good reason. Indulge in The Mash-Up, which includes chocolate chip cookies with dark chocolate brownies ‘mashed’ together. As if that wasn’t sweet enough, this chocolate creation is topped with bourbon vanilla bean ice cream and salted caramel sauce.

Continue the downtown decadence at The Smoking Gun. With and array of witty cocktails, food and some seriously sweet treats, this is the ideal spot to celebrate National Cookie Day. The Funnel Cookie offers a twist on a fairground classic, featuring a fried chocolate chip cookie, berry coulis and a vanilla ice cream scoop to top!

Channel your cookie creativity at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch where Baked Bear is changing up the cookie game with a unique menu. Check out the cookies of the month or create your own Ice Cream Sandwich with cookie flavors such as Red Velvet, Gooey Butter Cake, Snickerdoodle and more.
