Father’s Day is quickly approaching, and the following San Diego destinations are ready to help you celebrate Dad.

Rare Society: Father’s Day Grilling Bag, $145. Carnivore dads are sure to get all fired up about Rare Society’s Father’s Day Grilling Bag. Cardellino + Mr. Trustee: Father’s Day Ultimate Sticky Bun, $40. Treat Dad to his own batch of Chef Jeremy Harville’s ultimate sticky buns (made famous at sibling restaurant Trust) + a pint of handmade Mr. Trustee brown sugar ice cream to top it off! Available for pickup at Cardellino on Sunday, June 21, from 8 am to 11 am. Quantities are limited, so guests are encouraged to place their order online in advance at https://cardellinosd.com/

Kensington favorite, Bleu Bohème, will offer a variety of traditional French dishes suited for dad including steak frites, hanger steak or petite filet mignon served with the guests choice of Béarnaise or poivre sauce, caramelized onions, arugula salad and garlic pommes frites; croque de garçon, open face house-ground steak trim served on brioche topped with brie cheese, smoked ham, caramelized onions and a fried egg, served with pommes frites; and more.

A Bleu Bohème’s Father’s Day feast at home is now possible, too, thanks to the new virtual server on the website. The digital server, Chloe, allows guests to order for free delivery or takeout; plus, she’ll even suggest recommendations and wine pairings!


Head to barleymash for a sweet and savory Father’s Day experience. The downtown eatery will feature both specialty brunch and dinner selections. Brunch items include Maple Bacon, Doughnuts, Steak and Eggs and Russel’s Reserve Single Barrel Old Fashioned, served until 2 p.m. Transition the celebration into dinner time with a Steak and Old-Fashioned combo, featuring Russel’s Reserve Single Barrel. Dinner will be available from 2 p.m.-10 p.m

Spoil Dad with a DIY Ramen Kit from Tajima. All locations will offer fresh ingredients and a step by step guide to recreate their signature Tajima Ramen, right at home! Each kit serves four and is priced at $43. Ingredients include original Tonkotsu broth, uncooked noodles, pork chashu, half ramen egg, bok choy, green onions, fried garlic, sesame seeds and spices. Tajima will also include a free serving of house-made Mango Sake alongside all kit orders. Orders can be placed online or by phone and can also be delivered through third party delivery apps.

Treat Dad to brunch by the beach at Mavericks in Pacific Beach. Brunch is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and features a menu chock-full of specials. Cheers to Dad with $5 Bloody Mary’s, $5 Micheladas, and $10 bottles of champagne and rose. Pair your libations with an array of brunch dishes including a breakfast burritos, bowls, and sandwiches. Mavericks has revamped its parking lot to accommodate additional social distance seating for guests to enjoy!

Spend Father’s Day in the Gaslamp at The Smoking Gun. The downtown spot will feature a Steak and Old-Fashioned Dinner, for $25. Dinner includes a classic New York Strip steak served alongside signature house cut Thick Chips, and a Russel’s Reserve 10-year-Old Fashioned to sip. Dads can grab lunch or dinner at Bub’s @ the Beach, where they can pair their loaded tots with a tall drink of Man-mosa!
