Tocaya Organica, the fast-growing fresh-casual Modern Organic Mexican concept from The Madera Group, will make its La Jolla debut just in time for those 2019 ‘new year, new you’ resolutions. The new location is slated to open at Westfield UTC (4301 La Jolla Village Dr #2003) on Wednesday, January 30th, adding a healthy option to the bustling dining scene at La Jolla’s outdoor retail resort. To celebrate the grand opening, and as a neighborhood appreciation day for locals and local businesses, Tocaya will be hosting ‘First Round’s on Us’ all day on Saturday, February 2nd. Guests’ first two tacos are free with any purchase of a beverage, side, or entrée (upcharges apply for premium proteins).

As the second San Diego location for the brand, Tocaya Westfield UTC will be serving up the signature menu that fans have come to know and love. Focused on a mission for better eating, the wide selection of bowls, tacos, salads and burritos showcases the use of locally-sourced organic ingredients combined with bold flavors. Tocaya also caters to a variety of dietary preferences including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free. The menu includes a rotating roster of new items, like the Keto Bowl, which debuted in January, made with Spanish-style cauliflower rice, sautéed tri-color peppers, avocado, sautéed garlic brussels sprouts with Roma tomatoes, black olives, arbol salsa, and your choice of protein and queso. Guests can also expect flavorful aguas frescas and refreshing juices, as well as margaritas, beer and wine.
The 3,891 square-foot restaurant will replicate the classic Tocaya Organica aesthetic, with special touches to reflect the charming beachy La Jolla vibe, including a standalone bar and an expansive outdoor patio. With 82 seats total, the restaurant will have plenty of room for shoppers and visitors to sit and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the mall.
Tocaya La Jolla is located at 4301 La Jolla Village Dr #2003, San Diego, CA 92122 and will be serving lunch, dinner and happy hour. The restaurant will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11am-9pm and Friday through Saturday from 11am-10pm.
