It’s time to get cracking! Tuesday, October 15, marks the official start of the long-awaited season showcasing Florida’s most famous crustacean – the Stone Crab. Truluck’s Seafood, Steak, and Crab House invites locals to delight in the freshest, most succulent Florida Stone Crab claws, delivered directly from its dedicated team of crabbers to guests’ tables within 24 hours.

Eager to share the savory sweetness of its signature delicacy with La Jolla-area diners, Truluck’s La Jolla will offer all-you-can-eat Florida Stone Crab for one modest price every Monday night until the season concludes on May 15.

Florida Stone Crab has a unique and delicate flavor, slightly sweeter and milder than other, more commonly known varieties of crab. Prepared chilled and pre-cracked, the fresh-caught claws are served with a specialty mustard sauce, although many crab connoisseurs say the favored fare requires no accompaniment. Also available are horseradish-cocktail sauce, key lime mayo and warm melted butter for the perfect Stone Crab complement.

A notably refined dining experience known for its unsurpassed, Southern-inspired hospitality showcasing the ocean’s finest seafood and crab, Truluck’s passion for seafood is not limited to its beloved Florida Stone Crab. The fresh-catch seafood menu features a tempting selection of the freshest fish and seafood available in dishes such as Miso-Glazed Sea Bass served with crab fried rice and chilled cucumber slaw, Sweet and Spicy Dutch Yellowtail topped with crab, avocado and heirloom tomatoes and Mediterranean Branzino, just to name a sumptuous few. Additionally, Truluck’s wine list, recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence, offers perfect mealtime pairings with more than 70 exquisite varietals available by the glass and bottle.

For a sweet ending to a Stone Crab-filled feast, diners can indulge in a decadent array of mouthwatering desserts, made in-house daily, including Chocolate Malt Cake, Crème Brûlée and the restaurant’s fan-favorite Carrot Cake, topped with a delectable caramel drizzle and spicy pecans.
