National Burger Day is coming up and Dunedin North Park and their sister restaurants, Queenstown Public House, Raglan Public House and Bare Back Grill will be celebrating all week starting Monday, May 22 by offering 50% off a different burger from the menu each day leading up National Burger Day Sunday, May 28th. You don’t want to miss their signature Bare Lamb Burger which will also be 50% off on National Burger Day.
If you’re not familiar with the history of the restaurants’ burger recipes, they’re influenced by owners Matt Baker and PJ Lamont’s traveling adventures in New Zealand. While in Queenstown, they fell instantly in love with a small burger joint called Fergburger. After Fergburger’s owner befriended them, he taught both PJ and Matt many of the burger recipes, including the homemade condiments, so that they could bring them to San Diego. Shortly after returning, Baker and Lamont opened Bare Back Grill, followed by the other restaurants…the rest is history.
Each of these Kiwi-inspired San Diego restaurants use only the best ingredients, including all organic meats, fresh vegetables and breads baked daily. While they all share a similar style burger menu, they each have their own very unique personality sparked by a different NZ town or region, which all pay homage to the overall relaxed lifestyle, quality of life, and of course amazing quality food that New Zealand offers.
