Under the direction of Executive Chef Dave Burke, the menu features STK’s elevated American cuisine including celebrated signature dishes such as Bone Marrow with Truffle Parmesan Crumbs, House-made Pappardelle Pasta with Short Rib Ragout, Blackened Cod, and of course, the highest quality cuts of steak.
A robust mixology program features locally-inspired beverages with cocktails such as the Strawberry Cobbler, Cucumber Stiletto and Old Cuban. As a part of its local beer program, STK offers options from some of San Diego’s favorite breweries, such as Mission Hefeweizen, Latitude 33 Blood Orange IPA and Alesmith .394 Pale Ale.

STK San Diego reflects the vibrant SoCal neighborhood with a contemporary yet urban interior including floor-to-ceiling windows. Located on the lobby level of the Andaz San Diego, the 4,700 square foot restaurant includes a spacious main dining room, bistro seating area, bar, patio and versatile private dining spaces – two on the main level, one on the mezzanine and a sky lit atrium. The space is designed to encourage a social atmosphere and unforgettable dining experiences.
Chef Dave Burke realized his passion for cooking at a young age. His informal training came from cooking with his mom, especially on holidays. From picking out produce and fresh ingredients to spending the whole day in the kitchen, Chef Burke quickly realized being in the kitchen was his calling.
His dreams were realized when he graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute in 2002. Chef Burke perfected his craft at some of Scottsdale’s most popular venues and ultimately opened the city’s JW Marriott. Looking to diversify his skillset with front of house experience, Chef Burke began what would progress into a twelve year tenure with Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse. Eventually his work with Flemings brought Chef Burke to California, where he worked his way through the ranks.
Since then, Chef Burke has worked as Executive Chef Partner at L.A. Live and Pacifica Del Mar. Chef Burke continues to pursue his love of food with his new position as Executive Chef at STK San Diego. Some of his previous accolades include winning the Coachella Valley Chef Fight and receiving the Fleming’s Partner of the Year award in 2013.
