On Wednesday, June 14, Little Italy neighborhood restaurants will open their doors for the foodie event of the summer, Taste of Little Italy Presented by U.S. Bank, in San Diego’s Little Italy from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Attendees can stroll the sidewalks of Little Italy enjoying live music on street corners and taste bites from dozens of popular restaurants in the area. Ticketholders will receive a Taste Passport mapping out a list of participating restaurants and their menu offerings including appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverages.
“San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood is one of San Diego’s top culinary hubs, and we are excited to host this flavorful experience for our residents, community and visitors,” said Chris Gomez, District Manager of the Little Italy Association. “This annual event sells out every year, so attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets early to ensure they will have the opportunity to taste over 20 of the restaurants in Little Italy in one night!”
Two different Taste Passport routes will be available on the event website—a south route and a north route—each featuring nearly 20 restaurants. Some participating restaurants include Bencotto, Ironside Fish and Oyster, Herb & Eatery, Prepkitchen, Ballast Point and more. Participants receive each eateries’ tasting in exchange for a stamp on their passport. Tickets are priced at $40 per route prior to the event and $45 at the door. Tickets are on sale now!
