The stylish and refined fast-casual eatery Medina – Moroccan Baja Kitchen has just released new menu items and now offers catering and buyouts just in time for summer!
New offerings include:
Cali Merguez Sandwich – Very popular in North Africa, this sandwich is Medina’s version of the “California Burrito”. Three merguez sausages (North African spicy lamb) served on a fresh French baguette, harissa sauce, arugula, queso fresco & side of French fries
Mahi Mahi Fish Taco – Mahi Mahi topped with housemade roasted jalapeno/tomatillo/avocado salsa and harissa-chipotle aioi. Served on a house corn & wheat blend tortilla.
Shakshouka – a skillet dish of eggs poached North African-style in a smoky, spicy, vegetable-laden tomato sauce. Pro tip: Add merguez sausage
Baklava – (honey, chocolate, pistachio, cashew) – served a la carte or also on top of bowl of greek yogurt with cinnamon, sugar and rosewater honey
Additional lunch and dinner menu includes housemade merguez sausage flatbread tacos, herbed couscous grain bowls with Moroccan spiced chicken asado, as well as vegetarian and vegan offerings such as the roasted sweet potato, grilled onion and black bean taco topped with fresh avocado salsa.

Created by owner and chef, Alia Jaziri, Medina began as a food truck concept in San Francisco and later evolved and expanded to farmers markets and pop-ups in San Diego.
