The Toast of The Coast: Crush Solana Beach Restaurant and Wine Lounge

Market-Fresh Italian Cuisine, Top-Notch Service & Expansive Wine List

Crush Italian Cuisine and Lounge is offering San Diego’s discerning foodie a vibrant coastal destination interlacing definite coastal and modern design elements, an enticing menu of Italian-inspired seasonal cuisine, an impressive list of over 160 International wines and an unforgettable epicurean experience. The menu was developed by the talented Chef Jason Colabove, who specializes in combining traditional Italian flavors and cooking techniques with fresh, local and organic ingredients to create bright and flavorful dishes that are wholly satisfying. A thoughtful and reasonably priced wine, beer and cocktail list has been hand-selected to pair with the food; an on-site Sommelier will steer each guest in the right direction to ensure a flawless pairing. The core Crush philosophy is to provide each guest with a lively and engaging atmosphere with an unsurpassed attention to detail and exceptional service to exceed all expectations.

The restaurant is an extension of sister restaurant of the same name which has been delighting diners in Chico, CA for 4 years. A partner in the Chico operation, John P. Luciano, is a longtime San Diego resident and President of Luciano Development Inc., who wanted to share the incomparable Crush dining and drinking experience with his own local community. “We have been very pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response to Crush in Chico, and our team is looking forward to offering the San Diego diner a fantastic culinary and experience that has been tailored to best meet the needs of the local community.” John has been instrumental in ensuring that Crush in Solana Beach specifically reflects the casual simplicity and high-standards of the San Diego food and drink lover.

Crush’s Executive Chef will be working closely with longtime colleague and friend, Chef Michael Lina (Steakhouse at Azul La Jolla) who will be running the day-to-day operations behind the scenes in Solana Beach. The pair trained together in culinary school and share the same passion for their craft and analogous cooking philosophies – both are inspired by high-quality market fresh product with a particular focus on perfecting and modernize Italian classics. The coastal destination will offer lunch and dinner – with standout dishes including appetizers, a smart happy hour menu and decadent dishes such as: Crush Bruschetta (buratta cheese, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto) $12, Scampi Prawns (chili, garlic, lemon, toasted sourdough) $8, Lamb Shank (ancient grains polenta, tomato confit, natural reduction) $25.5 and Papperdelle Carbonara (pancetta, poached egg, chive, preserved lemon butter, mini croutons) $16.5.

An inviting and lively destination for the post-work crowd (daily 4:30-6:30 p.m. as well as a late night happy hour: Wed thru Sat 10:00 p.m. to close), Crush’s happy hour menu is a well-priced sampling of the restaurants standout dishes. The inviting bar and lounge features 160 bottles of hand-selected wine from all over the world. A smart list of handcrafted, seasonally inspired contemporary and classic cocktails are in alignment with the restaurant’s handcrafted approach. The winning combination of comfort, value and urban coastal ambience offer the perfect place to unwind.

Owned and operated by a strong team of foodies who are passionately dedicated to elevating the San Diego dining experience, Crush is destined to become a San Diego favorite, a coastal dining standout and a local Solana Beach gem.
