San Diego’s staple taco haven and local favorite, The Taco Stand, recently opened in North Park. Inhabiting the space that previously housed Tacos Perla, this is the fourth location for the San Diego based brand with a cult-like following. Known for its house made, made to order corn tortillas, and rotisserie-marinated pork for their Al Pastor, this taqueria will boast the same Tijuana-inspired décor exhibited by its other three locations, making North Park residents the lucky recipients of yet another culinary gem in the neighborhood’s foodie enclave. In addition to its mainstay menu, this location will also offer several beers on tap to pair with the eatery’s flavorsome food – a feature that is only found in the Encinitas location, currently.
Under ownership of the newly established, San Diego-based Showa Hospitality consortium (other restaurants include Himitsu in La Jolla, as well as a handful of restaurants in Mexico City), The Taco Stand will open yet another location in Miami, Florida later this month, followed by an outpost in Orange County slated for Summer 2018.
The Taco Stand North Park is located at: 3000 Upas St., San Diego CA 92104
