Fourth location of the celebrated restaurant concept to debut December 2014

Hakkasan Group today announced that the global lifestyle hospitality company will open the fourth installment of Chef Brian Malarkey’s popular Searsucker restaurant in Santa Monica, California this winter. Located in The Seychelle at Ocean Avenue South, a luxury residential development by Related California, Searsucker’s Santa Monica outpost will be the brand’s first foray into the Los Angeles area.

The latest Searsucker location will introduce Angelenos to Malarkey’s unapologetic take on American classics, set in a laid-back atmosphere. The menu will showcase creative dishes featuring ingredients sourced from local farmer’s markets as well as an expanded raw bar selection and will be complemented by an array of uniquely crafted cocktails.

“I spent the early part of my career living in Santa Monica and am very excited to open a Searsucker, and spend time, back in that beach city,” said Malarkey. “Being part of the Hakkasan Group has been an incredible opportunity and I look forward to sharing continued successes.”

Hakkasan Group and Malarkey have joined together, since the January 2014 acquisition of Enlightened Hospitality Group, to bring the chef’s acclaimed “Fabric of Social Dining” concepts to new markets within the U.S. Together, Malarkey and Hakkasan Group are joining forces to expand Searsucker into new cities including Las Vegas and have plans to develop new brands, the first of which is slated to debut in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego, in Spring 2015.
