San Diego’s eateries are quickly gearing up to open their doors to the public again for dine-in services (in accordance with mandated stipulations).
Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas will open for dine-in services for Memorial Day Weekend, offering a limited menu complete with BBQ specials and Union favorites, or order ahead for curbside pickup! The eatery will be open Friday from 3 p.m. to close, and Saturday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to close. COVID-19 mandated restaurant restrictions will be enforced, as the Union team is geared up to keep San Diegans safe during their dining experiences.
Pacific Beach AleHouse is ready to serve the city’s foodies this Memorial Day Weekend with dine-in, takeout and delivery services available starting on Friday from 4 p.m. to close, on and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to close. The Memorial Day Weekend menu includes their crave-worthy Crab & Lobster Roll, AleHouse Tacos filled with cotija, cabbage, cilantro, roasted salsa, jalapeno and bean cassoulet, and a slew of other tasty options available to both dine-in and takeout patrons.
Everyone’s favorite North Park brunch spot, Breakfast Republic, will reopen for in-house dining on Thursday May 28th from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. While this is the only Breakfast Republic location that will be opening for dine-in patrons in the coming week, all other locations will still offer online ordering for carryout and delivery from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., including all Breakfast Republic favorites, including Breakfast Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese and all the Pancake Flights you can eat!
Bub’s @ the Beach is excited to announce that they’re officially open for dine-in services, in addition to carryout and delivery options. Just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, the eatery is ready to serve up their beloved signature dishes safely and with guests’ wellbeing as their top priority. Get your fill of their famous tots and grilled wing options, or grab a burger for good measure, because there’s no doubt that this 20-year-old staple has been sorely missed!
Farmer’s Table in La Mesa and Bay Park will re-open this Saturday May 23rd for brunch and dinner, just in time for Memorial Day Weekend! The Little Italy location will re-open on Memorial Day, and all locations will feature an updated menu packed with farm-to-fork creations and classic Italian flavors, including a variety of pizzas/flatbreads fresh out of their woodfired oven, and entrees such as Duck Gnocchi and Pistachio Cavatelli. Reservations are required for dine-in services, and hours may vary – please contact the restaurant to make your reservation and for individual store hours.
Ortega’s Mexican Bistro in Hillcrest: Dedicated to serving delectable Puerto Nuevo cuisine, Ortega’s will reopen its doors for dine-in services beginning Friday, May 22nd at 3 p.m.-10:30 p.m., with specialty hours for the holiday weekend. Weekend dine-in specials include Margaritas and a full bar menu, alongside a limited food menu.

- Sunday, 12 p.m. -9:30 p.m.
- Monday, 11:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
The Duck Dive in Pacific Beach has officially reopened its doors for dine-in services from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. The beachside eatery will offer a full food and drink menu for dine-in guests. The Gaslamp District’s barleymash is has reopened for dine-in, opening at Noon daily. Barleymash is located at 600 Fifth Avenue, San Diego CA 92109
The Smoking Gun in downtown will welcome guests back to the dining room. The downtown spot will be open daily for dine-in services, on a first come first serve seating basis. GBOD Hospitality Group has reopened three of its restaurants, each located in the Gaslamp Quarter, for dine-in. Mezé Greek Fusion awarded San Diego’s “Best Greek” cuisine year after year, will resume its daily hours from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., on Saturday, May 23. Following the guidelines put forth by the State of California and the city of San Diego, the restaurants will limit occupancy to 50 percent, as well as follow all health and social distancing guidelines, including cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
