Flemings is located in the Aventine Center, across the courtyard from the Hyatt Regency Hotel in La Jolla. Convenient to the La Jolla Cove, UCSD, La Jolla Playhouse, Torrey Pines Golf Course, and the Del Mar Race Track.

About the Chef
Christopher Gardner is the Chef Partner at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in La Jolla. Born in Walla Walla, WA in 1969, his culinary interests started at a young age as he grew up in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. The rich Walla Walla Valley, with the hot dry summers and cold winters, afforded Gardner the knowledge of produce and its availabilities that changed with each season. He attended culinary school in Seattle. There, he honed the many skills that he had learned throughout his years of working at various restaurants and hotels in the Pacific Northwest. Gardner has been working with Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar since 2000, beginning at the Seattle location before moving to San Diego to become the Executive Chef at the Fleming’s in downtown. He lives in San Diego with his wife Bethney, and their daughters Olivia and Madeline. He enjoys growing fresh peppers, playing golf, mountain bike riding, and taking pride in his garden of more than 30 cactus.
