Monday, July 6th is National Fried Chicken Day and there are plenty of places around San Diego to celebrate this delectable food holiday.

Corner Chicken is East Village’s newest hotspot, serving up the finest fowl in town! Head to the casual eatery, located on the corner of Nineth and G Street, and try the Love Me Tenders. Two jumbo chicken tenders come fried to perfection, served with bread and pickles – and you get to select the level of spice. From naked to flamin’ hot and XXX, there is truly a level for all taste buds. Corner Chicken is also offering to-go!

Cruise on down to Pacific Beach and take a bite into Backyard Kitchen & Tap’s Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. You’re sure to love the combo of a buttermilk fried chicken thigh, topped with Nashville hot sauce, shredded lettuce, pickle, and basil aioli, all served on a brioche bun with a side of fries or green salad. Don’t forget to order a beer, like the Kona Big Wave Golden Ale, to help wash it down.

Celebrate National Fried Chicken Day at Tavern at the Vogue, located within Chula Vista’s Third Avenue Village Association. The laidback tavern, with a variety of beers and bites to pair alongside, features a $6 Spicy Chicken Sandwich, consisting of a crispy fried chicken fillet on a brioche bun with hot buffalo sauce, lettuce, and garlic aioli. Open from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., you can join them for dine-in, or utilize their delivery or contactless curbside pick-up.

Start your morning out the right way, with a hearty and delicious meal at Breakfast Company’s North Park location. Open daily for dine-in, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and also offering take-out and delivery via their website, Breakfast Company offers plenty of tasty options to kickstart your day! On July 6th, order the scrumptious Crispy Chicken Thighs, prepared atop two eggs sunny side up, confit cauliflower, and back garlic vinaigrette. We recommend pairing it with the beloved Golden State Latte, made with maple, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and vanilla extract.

PB’s Duck Dive is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat on your way to the beach, with an array of coastal classic dishes. Choose between tacos or wings, fresh salads or sandwiches, such as the Spicy Crispy Chicken, which comes with a side of fries. Indulge in a whole chicken breast, drizzled with ancho chili crema, pepper jack cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and red onions, all on a telera roll. There is no better way to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day!

Break Point is Pacific Beach’s newest restaurant and bar, offering a unique dining experience that brings people together over delectable food, hand-crafted cocktails and bowling! Among the menu of classic American favorites and Coastal cuisine, you’ll find a juicy Fried Chicken Sandwich, piled high with ranch coleslaw and pickle chips. Served with fries, you can request your sandwich buffalo or house-style. You can’t go wrong with either option!
