For nearly a decade, LEMONADE has been serving Seasonal California Comfort Food to its ever-growing following in the greater Los Angeles area. Raising the standard of quality and freshness in the industry, Lemonade entices time-crunched but food-savvy individuals with the simple allure of beautifully prepared salads, hearty braised meats, satisfying sandwiches, decadent desserts, and of course, thirst-quenching lemonades. With an appreciation for the freshest seasonal ingredients, Executive Chef and Founder Alan Jackson answers the call by bringing his chef-driven, contemporary approach to California comfort food down the Golden Coast to San Diego.

Lemonade, the Los Angeles based fast-casual eatery that places a premium on fresh, healthy dining, is debuting two new locations in San Diego. Lemonade will open August 3rd on bustling Fifth Avenue in the urban neighborhood of Hillcrest. Shortly following on August 12th, Lemonade will open its doors at Westfield UTC; La Jolla’s premiere open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment destination.

“We are so thrilled to be heading down south to the city of San Diego,” says Jackson. “Hillcrest is a vibrant community known for its diversity, much like Lemonade—a place where everyone is welcome. Westfield UTC in La Jolla is a retail-resort experience with a health-conscious clientele.”

The cafeteria-style setting invites guests to eat with their eyes by grabbing a tray and selecting from a colorful variety of prepared Marketplace dishes. A delicious and healthy change of pace, Lemonade marries quality and convenience. The wide-ranging, innovative menu stresses simple preparations with global taste, celebrating California seasonal ingredients. The backbone of Lemonade’s appeal is their fresh assortment of Marketplace Vegetables, designed to mix-and-match, which perfectly fit today’s on-the-go lifestyle and perceptive palate. The summer menu includes:

Mission Figs, Arugula, Blue Cheese, Sherry Vinaigrette

Pineapple Chicken, Green Beans, Coconut, Jalapeño, Jerk Dressing

Roasted Beets, Melon, Frisée, Hazelnut

Both La Jolla and Hillcrest locations will feature made-to-order flatbreads, freshly baked in an open-flame brick oven. The exclusive flatbread menu includes:

Wild Mushroom, Truffle, Parmesan

Heirloom Cherry Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil

Blue Cheese, Walnut, Arugula

Globally inspired, slow-cooked braises are along for the ride, including Lemongrass Chicken, Red Miso Beef Short Ribs, and Pulled Pork Peach BBQ. Additionally available are artisan sandwiches, soups, decadent desserts and the signature seasonal selection of refreshing lemonade flavors, including Cucumber Mint and Watermelon Rosemary.

Hillcrest is expected to open AUGUST 3, 2015, the sunlit 2,500 square-foot space on Fifth Avenue in the heart of fabulous Hillcrest offers an abundance of indoor and outdoor seating in a bright, modern atmosphere. Street parking is available in one of San Diego’s most walkable neighborhoods.

Westfield UTC La Jolla is expected to open AUGUST 12, 2015, takes up residence in one of the shopping center’s premium spaces featuring deep banquets, a spacious outdoor patio, and vertical garden. It’s a perfect spot to enjoy a bite before or after shopping or a movie.
